ReplyDeleteIs it OK to ask a tech question here? I noticed that some of the few low star ratings for Replica Island mention problems on the CLIQ. I'm having the same problem with my game RGBbot (well, one Backflip owner contacted me saying the screen went black and it backed out to the Home screen immediately). It works in a 1.5 emulator, so I'm stumped.
Just wondering if Motoblur is causing problems with real-time games??
About comments: for a Live Wallpaper I made, one guy commented that it was "the best workout app!" Kinda funny, but I'll take the 5 stars. ;-)
I had the same problem with the Motorola CLIQ. After the initial cut scene with Wanda, the screen stayed black when it went into the intro tutorial section. However, I just finished updating both RI and the CLIQ, and it started to work. I'm not sure which one of those fixed it, but is working fine for me now.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the GameRenderer class you can see that the game detects the CLIQ and decides not to use VBOs because of problems.
ReplyDeleteThat fix does not, unfortunately, fix the crash that the users are complaining about.
ReplyDeleteHelp, I'm stuck. I don;t know what level I'm on, is there a way to tell? It has lots of pearls everywhere. To get to the final gem there is a vertical jump I cannot make. I have tried jumping then flying straight up, Running on a slope to let it propel me up then flying, etc but I cannot get high enough. Any suggestions?
